Breaking the Biological Barriers to Cellulosic Ethanol: A Joint Research Agenda
This Department of Energy report summarizes the collective suggestions of a December 2005 workshop involving more than 80 scientists with expertise in various aspects of bioenergy production.

Energy Bulletin
EnergyBulletin.net is designed to be a clearinghouse for current news and research information regarding the peak in global energy supply. Topics include the current situation and trajectory, along with innovations or partial solutions to this crisis. The editors, who are unaffiliated with any private, government, or institutional body, invite industry insiders and independent researchers to submit their insights and findings relevant to these issues.

ERG Biofuel Analysis Meta-Model (EBAMM)
This resource was developed by students and faculty of the Energy and Resources Group and Richard & Rhoda Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley to review the current state of biofuels energy analyses. The researchers published their results in Science in January 2006.

Global Bioenergy Partnership
The purpose of the Global Bioenergy Partnership is to provide a mechanism for Partners to organize, coordinate and implement targeted international research, development, demonstration and commercial activities related to production, delivery, conversion and use of biomass for energy, with a focus on developing countries.

Growing Energy: How Biofuels Can Help End America's Oil Dependence
Published by the Natural Resources Defense Council, this December 2004 report lays out an aggressive plan for how biofuels can become cost-competitive with gasoline and diesel, slash global warming emissions, improve air quality, and allow us to invest our energy dollars at home.

Gulliver Multiscale Bioimaging Workshop
This workshop, which focused on bioenergy and cancer biology, surveyed some of the cutting-edge advances in microscopy, including novel directions that are still in development.

Joint Science Academies' Statement on Energy Efficiency
The national science academies of the G8 nations and Brazil, China, India, Mexico and South Africa have signed a statement on sustainability, energy efficiency and climate protection. The statement calls on world leaders, particularly those meeting at the G8 Summit in Heiligendamm in June 2007, to cooperate in identifying common strategic objectives for sustainable, efficient and climate friendly energy systems, and in implementing actions toward them.
